We offer a range of workshops which focus on key areas of health.

Each workshop will provide you with a better understanding of how diet and lifestyle factors can impact on your own and your family's health, as well as providing practical support in the form of information sheets and tasty recipes to help you put this knowledge into practice, and advice on how to implement these changes into your everyday life.

These workshops are particularly helpful if:

The Why Diets Don’t Work And What You Can Do About It Workshop

This B Healthy workshop will provide you with the tools to help you lose weight and reduce your risk of many of the chronic health conditions associated with overweight and obesity, including Type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease and some cancers.

During this two-hour workshop you will learn the principles of healthy, sustainable weight loss and how to overcome many of the factors which might have held you back in the past, including low fat/high carbohydrate diets, food cravings, low energy, leptin resistance and emotional eating.

The Healthy Heart Workshop

This B Healthy workshop is ideal for anyone who is concerned about high blood pressure or elevated cholesterol, or for those with a family history of cardiovascular disease.

This two-hour workshop focuses on cardiovascular health, which includes the health of your heart and blood vessels, and how to reduce your risk of heart disease and strokes. Certain diet and lifestyle choices, such as high sugar, low nutrient diets, excess alcohol, smoking, obesity and lack of physical activity are significant risk factors for atherosclerosis, which in turn is the major cause of heart disease and strokes. 

During the course of this workshop you will learn many of the key principles behind protecting your cardiovascular health, including the role of healthy fats, dietary fibre, the truth about dietary cholesterol and the vital role of exercise.

The Healthy Gut Workshop

This B Healthy workshop will help you address a number of digestive problems such as indigestion, bloating and symptoms associated with IBS.  

As part of this workshop you will learn how to support each phase of digestion (breakdown of nutrients), absorption (how the nutrients are then absorbed into the body) and elimination (how the body gets rid of waste).  Key areas of focus include the role of mindful eating, the role of fibre, pre and probiotic foods and FODMAPs, and the impact of stress.  

The Healthy Mind Workshop

This B Healthy workshop will help you understand how diet and lifestyle can be linked to state of mind, with particular focus on stress, anxiety and low mood. 

During this two-hour session we will look at the role of nutritional imbalances, inflammation, stress management and mindset.

The Healthy Ageing Workshop

This B Healthy workshop is ideal for anyone interested in supporting healthy ageing and increasing their “healthspan” (the part of a person’s life during which they are generally in good health).  

This two-hour session will focus on many of the key health conditions associated with ageing, including cardiovascular health, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis and cognitive decline and what you can do to reduce your risks through diet and lifestyle.

*Tanita scales will be available for use during the ‘Why Diets Don’t Work’ and ‘Healthy Heart’ workshops only.
